We offer assistance with site selection, permitting, and building systems safely and in compliance with code. Our experience working with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) across the country means we can advise on site and vendor selection based on the requirements of local code officials and help you build a functional relationship with the local fire department to ensure their comfort with permitting, inspecting, and responding to your system, without ever adding undue and unexpected cost or time to the project.

The ESRG team possesses extensive experience converting UL9540A results into meaningful reports and analysis for code officials, building departments and fire marshals by telling them what is most important without making them sit through any unnecessary information. Collaborating with our fire protection engineering partners, we create meaningful analysis of systems, helping satisfy code officials and resulting in the quick and efficient design of fire protection, ventilation, and deflagration protection systems. Once a system is built, beyond just ensuring compliance with code requirements, ESRG offers additional support for disposal and HAZMAT pre-planning, training, and documentation support as required by the fire code in your state or municipality.

Even after a system is permitted, ESRG continues to work with all stakeholders to ensure code compliance through to operation and beyond. This activity includes site reviews of the as-built system to identify issues beyond code, such as firefighter access and operations, OSHA compliance, and other factors. Along with proper training for subject matter experts (SMEs) and the fire department, ESRG also offers assistance managing required documentation and 24/7 onsite monitoring through our cloud-based, emergency situational awareness platform.
